Prime Directive style laws have always seemed weird to me. For one thing, they're treated as an unrealistically high priority. Even if you assume that it's literally the most important thing ever, laws which mandate that the lives of ship crew are less important than cultural isolation aren't going to lead to cultural isolation being upheld in a situation where that's the choice, they're going to lead to the crew staging a mutiny and probably violating the directive with reckless abandon since they're already criminals. For another, they don't seem to ever talk about the steps after a species proves worth of first contact, when I think there's a lot more risk to giving something like modern humanity weaponizable super-tech than there is to stopping over to say hi to some cave-dwellers who just worked out that fire makes meat tasty.
Yeah, the "how do we accommodate you guys into the society" is an important problem as well.
Engineer: "There is no such thing as incompatible equipment. There is only insufficiently enthusiastic application of adaptors and duct tape."
And oh look! I think we just found the Comon Sense ball.
That sounded more kinky than I am sure was intended
Hey-- before you all start xenofetishing, we don't even know if they have compatible dangly bits.
(starts taking off shirt) I know how to figure this out, one of my professors at the academy was a certain Adm. Kirk. Used to tell some interesting stories after class.
Star Fleet still doesn't approve of his early-invented method not to allow problems to catch him wearing a red shirt.
Hm, the security system said that your comment "contains spam words".
...Yeah, I have no idea either.
Odd.
Apparently the Comms commander has been studying up and can likely comment on compatability.
Although she did say "wow, they do it like that too". She also noted that humans show creativity in copulation and "not just between each other" which I always took as a reference to self satisfaction, however it might have been a reference to artistic depiction between humans and humanoid creatures.
Apparently both they and humans have similar enthusiasm for copulation so I'd dare say that if required anatomy isn't compatible for direct copulation, they'd likely figure out how to make things enjoyable for each other in alternate ways as humans are already prone to do.
I am willing to explore possibilities with her...
I don't think this is that sort of comic
But I have little doubt that two separate, intelligent species that both have biological and cultural setups for copulation outside of reproductive purposes, will have willing members that want to engage in some fun.
I was expecting a negative response from her to create story conflict, but its good to see more people who are just making sensible decisions in all of this.
Meanwhile, with that communication though...
I think there is something very attractive about a 'lady' that will park her tail/butt on a random tabletop.
expected lanky lady.
camera pans down... lord have mercy
The best of the both worlds!
I know you talked about how this height dynamic is making things difficult, but I think you're handling it very well!
Btw did you mean to write "paranoics" or is it supposed to be "paranoids"?
Well, um, google says that "paranoic" is a valid form of "paranoiac", I think?
Hmmm I guess I've never heard that term before, I thought you were using Paranoid.
... am I supposed to worry whether Shuru fits through the door of her own(?) room (shown to not be overly much taller than Zane on the previous page)?
