This isn't directly related to this comic page, but we're apparently already starting to experiment with laser communications across the solar system, which the expeditionary fleet considers a significant technological milestone. 🙂

I wonder if Gharr will send Dan a medical bill for his mental health services?
WHAT? That's a barbaric thought.
There are better methods of recompensating medical services than billing the individuals that needed treatment.
The Alliance Fleet parks up next to Earth and broadcasts a message down:
*Pay Dan's medical bill or your planet will be foreclosed upon.*
---
Or, what if Gharr, after contacting the military, gets arrested for providing mental healthcare without a (Earth) medical licence?
How would you prove in a Terran court that that was "mental healthcare" if actual Terran mental healthcare is unable to duplicate the results?
(And if you're willing to settle for "it was Raharr mental healthcare", assuming that you can get a Raharr to give such a testimony in the first place, you'd run the risk that Gharr turns out to still be more qualified for that than all Terran shrinks put together.)
Dan's busy trying to remember which step behind him is the one that always creaks loudly.
Seriously though, in a tiny house like that, on a subject like this, when there's PIZZA! Surely they'd be keeping some awareness of where Dan is and how loud they're talking.
Gharr: [has nesciently devoured the whole Pizztraction between panels and thus doomed yet another party]
Help your paranoid friends by talking about them behind their backs.
Help your friends help you and cease to always noiselessly ninja down that creaky stair "just in (stair)case".
