Oh it's clear sir, certainly sir (proceeds to utterly subvert the general and arrange a window to open tragically).

Military brass who won't let their subordinates finish sentences are a common trope. Never bodes well for them. One wonders how they managed to rise to their high positions with that attitude. And this particular one, with his idiosyncratic theory of history, has a whiff of purity-of-essence about him.

The General seems to think that HE can control the PR when the Raharr might already be ahead of him on that, and having their own agenda designed to avoid hostile results. They were the victims of an accident.

Gen. Bahin doesn't know that agent Iskra & Nea Khtara already talked? This may put the Major in a difficult position. Time to make Iskra disappear maybe?

I wonder if the handover of Nea & the other dead crewmens bodies will go well without Gharr. Him being missing could be problematic for the general (or Protagonistan), as not being able to find him might make them look like fools not only in the eyes of the aliens but to the rest of Earth as well.

And is the general like, the leader/dictator of Protagonistan or like a chief of staff level? He was at the UN to announce the presence of aliens in the solar system and on Earth. And here he seems to make national decisions on his own. Is this all just some play to get "The Federation HQ" located in Protagonistan instead of California, USA? (Star Trek | Federation Headquarters | Memory Alpha)

I like the profile shots of Nea & Iskra.

I don't think the Major is fully aware if Nea and Iskra's conversations. The Major noted the agents had begun overstepping their boundries and believes Iskra has already figured out whats going on but he doesn't seem to be aware of the full extent that Iskra and Nea are conversing and even Nea views him somewhat unfabourably now.

I could see Protagistan being worried about Gharr's absence, but also viewing it as an opportunity to maintain communications after handing over Nea and the crew's bodies rather than the Raharr up and leaving. Stick around, keep in touch or lets talk daily so I can update you on the search and maybe discuss a few other things.

No idea on the General's status. I'm not certain we've seen a single political figure from Protagistan yet but we've seen the General taking front stage with diplomatic talks to both the U.N. and the Raharr, so it might well be a military state or semi-military state with a puppet government.

Whatever the case, the General continues to disappoint me here, seemingly forcing submission rather than seeking to better understand the Raharr from the man on his side with the best understanding of them (limited though it may be). I guess its possible he's so far removed from keeping tabs that he's unaware the Major established a rapor with Nea where the scientists failed and has only been reading the reports from the researchers.
