Latest blog post: End of the chapter 5, and a short hiatus (2024-02-19)

Author's comment:

The technologies in the interceptor are actually a similar microbot tech that's used when implanting cranial interfaces used by the majority of the Alliance members, only more rough and faster because of that (electronic can handle much more than neural tissues). And yes, I know what it looks like, and I'm not ashamed of that. it already accidentally began looking kinda similar during the sketch phase, so I've decided to just go at it.

Heh. I personally, have always thought that the depiction of viruses attached to cell surfaces look like space probes. So it's funny to see it the other way.

To be fair, we do have stories of people working with aliens. It just not as prevalent (especially recently, now that I think about it). Even recent Star Trek episodes (I'm only in Season one of Discovery) has humans fighting Klingons with very few non-human allies (we see the Vulcans, but they're very human-like in appearance and we don't see any of the other races).

The funny thought occurred to me that because of this, the original analysis of Star Wars might think the Empire as the "good guys" for us, being human-centric as they are. This thought wouldn't stand up to any kind of scrutiny, but I still find it interesting.

That guy's enemies aren't aliens, they're demons that happened to turn up in space. When the Doom Slayer encountered real aliens, he actually got along pretty well with them (once they got used to his monomania about preparing for demonic invasion, anyway).
