Not sure why this would actually interfere with Los Dos Amigos' ability to piggyback on Quantum's comm channels if he's still willing to let them, though, unless Zane orders a complete blackout. It might even improve matters, since the second intruder is a good reason for Zane to decide not to cut and run and leave whoever it is to scuttle around unsupervised.

There's no way to communicate faster than light. If you want to send your message to another solar system, your best bet is to use a courier spaceship. It can take even a month for it to finally reach the destination, but it still beats sending it as a transmission and expecting it to arrive decades or thousands of years later.

Before, Zane let Quantum do their thing. After, he'll begin supervising the comms.
