Latest blog post: Redraw of chapter 1 is happening (2024-05-11)
Author's comment:
Raharrs are born completely white, but when they reach a certain age (roughly matching the puberty period), they enter into the so-called "period of attaining maturity." Within one or two months, or even weeks, a pigment pattern begins to appear on the body of a young raharr. This marks their transition from a child to "full-age", a period that covers human's teenage and adult parts of life.

I wonder if there's any cultural perception that a Raharran with more of their body covered in pigment is perceived as more mature.
I think Shuru has had the most and Zane the least from the adults we've seen so far, but I'm pretty sure thats also part the their respective sub-races across the Raharran species.
It used to in the past, the usual bigotry and racism, but since then they've largely abolished it, just like we do not think anymore that the size of your cranium determines your intelligence.
The only ones that kinda still retain a level of prejudice (being considered "the manchildren") are the albinos who do not manifest their pattern at all, but even this is heavily frowned upon in any respectable company.
Is he going to have to save his own life here?
How's that for a one-
manpartially-mature-person Grandfather Paradox! So rambunctious teens are a universal thing, quelle surprise.
"I'm an adult now! I'm gonna climb that incomplete building to prove it!"
