Poor Nea. She was probably just about wondering if it was safe to trust maybe one or two humans, and then along comes Iskara, who poured fire all over the whole notion.
Though I'm guessing there's one more shoe to drop. At this I'm assuming Nea doesn't know the Major himself shot her down. It will be intersting test of Iskara's character whether she is smart enough to realise that, and how she weighs the pros and cons of telling Nea - or if she just bluts it out.
Unfortunately I also fear telling the truth so feely won't win any of Nea's trust at this point. That ship has probably already sailed.
(I probably failed to make clear what I mean - I was thinking of spacecraft actually dropping rocks on the planet surface, a la Project Thor or Centaur mass drivers.)

Before becoming a webcomic, Leaving The Cradle was initially developed as a modification for Source engine, back in 2007. It was vastly different back then, much closer to the usual space opera look and feel, and the plot had nothing in common with the webcomic version, sharing only one character.

Sailed ... and crashed.
This comic has turned into the cliff hanger of all cliff hangers. I eagerly await each monday to see the next page.
Nothing like aliens sending an entire fleet to Earth to have a cliff literally hanging right above your head.
