Seems like the commander's taking his leisure-time DMing a little too seriously
Any airducts ? If so, there is the "Freeman" way
I must state that I was recommended your webcomic and then binged the whole thing in about an hour. I am quite looking forward to more.
I'm glad you liked it ^^
... saaaayyyy what's that girderwork along the cylinder's axis for? There doesn't seem to be any pipework running through it, I can't think of any mechanical forces it might be supposed to bear that the cylinder's hull and the external nonrotating parts of the Dawn shouldn't already be up to, and should it ever fail and buckle into the "winds" of the rotating atmosphere, it'd probably come crashing "down" onto the cylinder's inner surface and punch a nice big hole into the hull ...
That's skytram rails, for quick transit from one end of the drum to the other. Or, rather more specifically, for transit through the drum. Basically, just three rails connected by struts. It won't punch any holes should it snap, it isn't nearly massive enough for that (though buildings underneath might suffer some damage).
Dang, I thought it was where the screw in the light bulbs
The light sources for "outdoors" are embedded in three strips running axially along the inner cylinder surface; pages 10 and 81 show them more clearly than this page's first panel.
I guess that the Dawn's gardeners have their hands full pruning the plants next to those strips, lest they YOLO-grow sideways all over those "lamps". (Yes, I see that they keep bushes and trees a bit away from the edge already, but still.)
Dude! What part of "NO" don't you understand?!
The stuff around it, which is "I do " to the left and "t get to satisfy my curiosity" to the right.
Its one thing to use Quantum's channel to look at things because Quantum himself knows he's being a bit naughty by allowing them access in the first place. But accessing the commander's console would be all on them.
...Just a thought, but if Quantum doesn't have access to his satellite channel and it's still an open channel between Earth networks and the fleet... And the Ghosts are on Earth... I trust Quantum's security to be up to par against human detection and exploitation but if the Ghosts find it, that seems like it could be worrisome.
Checkov's unsecured console
She says that like they might be under surveillance. Are there those who are dedicated to "keeping things the way they're supposed to be?"
Likely a bit of dramatisation but they are officers themselves and could be approached randomly by someone at any moment so best check before saying the awkward part
It just gets better and better.
But hey : When standing in a deep hole, why not just dig it deeper ?
This is a case for always having a ladder in your pocket.
I mean... Who hasn't hacked their boss's emails from time to time?
"Gimme five minutes and an alibi!"
Who needs to hack?
Boss thought of himself as IT knowledgeable and added the postbox of a service account to his outlook by himself. Endresult was that everyone who had this service postbox in their outlook also suddenly got his postbox.
Sorry, no street cred for you when your boss hacks himself.
