The human look at each other, shift uncomfortably. Finally one of them says, "er, on these occasions, um, do these creature, um, do things to the victims, um, with, um, instruments?
Oh noes, lil grey men.
Hmmm, dunno. If they change their shape to that of the abducted, and can pull off a sorta-credible Sashli, they might not really be quite as "lil" as they present themselves to us ...
It's a lil sashli.
The lack of a shell makes the Sashli Grey look even more alien to me.
Wow! We are not crazies! It's...
... actually it's very concerning.
Yay for the shoutout to Babylon 5! :) (The Vorlons look different to every race.)
On B5, there was a short scene in which a gray was being sued by the great grandson of an abductee.
I had a feeling that would be the topic of this discussion. And yes, the little gray ones are real.
Next page, everyone looks at the US president: "So, Roswell is real?" "No! It was a weather balloon. And Area 51 is just a base for prototype aircraft, hence its classified statue."
Else, the description biases of each species of the Alliance and that you ask other artists to draw them is a neat detail.
So, the funny thing is, there WAS a joke about that in the script (US president says "no", others look at him with judging expression, he goes "We went over this already, ufos were a good cover-up for our stealth bomber tests!"), but I had to cut it because it wouldn't fit into the page layouts satisfactorily.
But, at least in the comic's setting, Area 51 really WAS just an experimental aircraft base, no aliens.
Took me a few moments but I see now.
They resemble the alien species that is dealing with them.
Humans get the grey two arm, Raharr get the Grey 4 arms with tail, etc.
The consistency is the large, bulbus eyes, grey skin, large cranium and seemingly white suit.
[Paranoichan, led by its resident ESPers, goes on digital rampage nonetheless]
They should have known, since they have access to the internet. Even the simple legend of the Greys should have made it obvious that they’ve already been on Earth.
Who actually looked at the internet? I think only Quantum and the gang. And Quantum knew about the secret mission, and reported to have found direct Ghost fingerprints in the network. So why did Quantum not say anything about human legends?
TFW when the aliens share our stories about alien abductions…
And the Probes. Dont forget about the probes!
Will abducted synthetic intelligences get treated to linear probes?
Ah, so we are NOT the only ones, and we are NOT crazy. So, is this a coalition of slavers, crazy scientists with zero ethics or morals... or is it the same species, but different views and eyewitness bias.
They all have the eyes... so it could be something far worse, where they either reproduce by taking over bodies (functionally killing the host) or more like that movie The Host, where the aliens take over bodies and use them as, basically, biological vehicles.
or it's like Xcom, where they're clone bodies tailor made with some genetics from whatever species they are interacting with. perhaps with an element of Stargate's Asgard where the mind inhabiting them can be removed and uploaded into new bodies.
Quantum pocket-space entities. Their looks are defined by the observer
