Latest blog post: How the comic is made (2025-12-26)

Author's comment:

I've been unable to work on the comics for some while, due to problems in life. My mom got sick, so a chunk of my free time is now devoted to caring for her. This had diminished time available for the comic, sadly.

As a plea for forgiveness, new pages of Leaving The Cradle will be coming out weekly during the next month. =D

I’m going to enjoy the looks on their faces when the government inevitably tracks them down anyway.

Real Life always takes precedence. Hope you mom feels better soon.

Also, sustainable output is better than high output. If the creator ignored other problems or sacrificed their health to hurry things along, they'd crash eventually and it'd result in more downtime than just dialing back the pace or taking needed breaks.

TRIVIA
Many homeworlds of the respective species are still divided into countries, but freshly established colonies on other planets are almost always monolithic and basically independent, since they sprawled from a single initial outpost, and time lag involved due to interstellar distances making remote management of the colony from a homeworld to be ineffective and frustrating at best.
