It's strange that they'd ask a vehicle on reentry to veer course. I haven't been keeping up on the specifics nowadays, but my understanding was that back in 2017 and with things like the space shuttle out of the equation, you didn't usually get much leeway controlling reentry unless it was one of those newfangled autonomous reusable boosters from SpaceX. Far more likely to be confused for a missile, and not something you'd assume to be crewed and capable of responding to requests to veer off course anyway, more so when the comic states the Space Shuttle has been out of the picture for a while now.

I wonder what spaceflight capabilities on the human side are really like compared to ours in this comic, specially in light of... later developments in the comic. Or maybe I'm reading far too much into this, and should be reading into more recent-ish spaceplanes instead , there may well be modern spaceplanes that fit the bill.

I believe it should be "a re-entry", not "an re-entry".

Please understand there is no shade thrown when I correct spelling/grammar...as a born-and-raised American, I know our language is stupid. :-/

I got proofreader only after 13th page, so it is understandable that first pages have errors. I fix them when I'll get the chance) Thanks for the corrections!

TRIVIA
Before becoming a webcomic, Leaving The Cradle was initially developed as a modification for Source engine, back in 2007. It was vastly different back then, much closer to the usual space opera look and feel, and the plot had nothing in common with the webcomic version, sharing only one character.
