He needs to have nice meltdown before he does something really really stupid.

This would be a good time for Gharr to show them his Light-Disruptor "Blend Into Background" Invisibility Ray. - Gharr: "Is could help?"

Nnnooo, a good time for him to use that would have been during reentry.

... the soldiers saw and remembered that the car they passed at full speed in the night on their way to the crash site was white (I was under impression it's rather silver/gray), but they didn't notice it was a pickup, in spite of one guy sitting out in the back? :-o

(Apropos English, that should be "know what we look like", shouldn't it ... ?)

Exert, not excert.

And leaving the city sounds like a suspicious-looking move.

also you don't really "exert caution", you "exercise caution".

If the military is searching the city, they will also be watching the exit routes.

Somebody sit on Dan before he does something stupid(er). ><

Yes, flee the city. With Gharr aboard. In your white truck.

They're just looking for trace evidence of aliens, they'll never notice the actual presence of one!

[exercise] triple caution

TRIVIA
Insectoids in a lot of ways are the weird ones among the Alliance members. Besides having a completely unpronounceable name of the species, they have dextero amino acid biochemistry, which makes their food and biosphere to be inedible by the rest of the Alliance, and vice versa.
