This is unforgivable, foolish scholar. Clean your neck and wait.
So the negotiations will continue after this break, only the Terrans will now be more properly respectful!
Wow. Nea's passion here goes beyond anger and rage. This is hardening into hatred. It's probably for the best if she and Gharr are never in the same room again.
Let upgrade that to "Not on the same planet again".
Since Nea is now handling the return of her deceased team to the Dawn, which is like a week away in Jupiter orbit , I do not think she will be granted missions that will send her back to Terra.
Since the fleet will move away that should split them up permanently , I however expects some twist and turns yet before that happens.
... she'll likely remain in the Earth-Moon system, a trip on a shuttle (that she might well be able to pilot herself) away from Gharr, until the commander has finished his mission as well and actually OKs the cruiser to take him (and Quantum) back to the fleet ...
Don't jump hastily to conclusions, the current "request" from Zane is more about making sure she's got to do some busywork while also being under watch by others, so she can't slink away to do something stupid (hopefully),. At least until she cools down.
Is threatening a civilian not a punishable offence ?
Anyway Gharr got Kermit eyes from fright and Iskra has made herself invisible.
I think she slinked out the door before Gharr tried to merge with the wallpaper. Smart girl.
Nea must be able to do quite a mean impression....
No jury would convict. Given the part he played in this.
And I'm pretty sure no superior officer would either.
Gharr sure wussed out fast. But then the table was only a sample of what she could do to him. Had no realization that these creatures were that strong.
Nea is literally a super-soldier
Nea should have been allowed to give him a solid punch, though. I mean, just following her superior's example.
Quod licet Iovi not licet bovi.
With her military enhancements I'm not sure Gharr would have survived a similar punch from Nea.
I'm not entirely sure how Zane fits into the military ranks. We saw on the military ship that the captain had authority. On the other hand Zane is in charge of the fleet's mission.
Zane isn't part of the military structure, but as the overall commander of the expedition, he has some general authority over the military attached to it. He can't override them in many cases, as we saw on the military ship, but they are better off listening to him, unless their orders take priority.
Notice his language when he effectively orders Nea out of the room, it's worded as a request, but if she resist, her on site commander will issue it as an order.
