We're being called out oh no
I was going to post a question for Quantum in the Q&A, but then I realized I need this first: What is the Alliance's word for biological citizens, as opposed to AIs? I've been mentally using "bionts" since that's what Orion's Arm uses.
I don't think they have one? They just use "members", or "humans" for that.
I love how she outright points out that her kind were also telling these kinds of stories in science fiction as well. I really like when alien species acknowledge their similarities to humanity.

If I may offer you some counterexamples, Quantum: Atomic Robo, Freefall, Schlock Mercenary, Starwalker.
