Just a thought : Gharr will have to p**p, p*s and bathe.

Now if I was shielding an alien in my home, I would make him go in the bushes .

I would expect the opposing forces to search for "out-of-place" DNA in the public sewage system.

Since they have bodies they have whole sets of DNA to find and isolate Gene groups only found in Raharr

However Dan´s house seems somewhat remote so I would think he has a Septic tank , thus staving of this risk for a while but at the same time , the lack of Alien DNA in bigger city´s raw sewage system would hint them to search in more remote places...And houses...Maybe these will all receive a visit from the "gas meter man/plumber/telephone/Jehovah witnesses" one after another.

Just a thought.

What if the house has a septic tank?

I mean, technically they are criminals in a way??

Kinda just up and kidnapped an alien lifeform and took him away from any form of communication with his fellows.

Eh, they can probably claim protection under good samaritan laws. They acted in good faith to rescue Gharr from perceived peril, with no expectation of reward.

Well, panel four disproves my prediction.

some attentive civilian [has] noticed something
"Has" vs "had" is extra tricky. It's the difference between "this event is in the present's past" and "this event is in the past's past".

"Past's past" doesn't makes understanding it any easier, TBH. XD

Example:
"According to this report we just got, he has completed the mission three weeks ago."
"According to this report from two weeks ago, he had completed the mission a week before."

This sounds less sinister knowing that the Major has been established as a "good guy" in the story so far.

It's gonna make this all the more funny as the wacky guy with an alien on his couch is doing the very steps that will avoid the major's detection web as far as they're able. But they'll slip up in a way the military will be able to act upon. But, they will be doing them a favor of getting the alien to open up and talk, so it's not all bad.

Yeah, I like that sort of story where all the major players more or less mean well and would prefer to get along but suffer from incomplete information and trust or communication barriers that make that difficult almost more than stories where the conflict is driven by malice or selfishness.
