Just noticed the little detail of Zane scratching at the scar across his eye in panel 6. Makes me wonder if these "Ghosts" are somehow related to it that he might touch in in memory at the mention of them.
Hopefully no choice means communications open up. But I could easily imagine it means they don’t communicate because humanity is compromised or because there’s concern the “Ghosts” might be listening in.
Strange that he’s surprised to stumble upon them by accident. The others speculated that the fleet appeared to be moving with purpose. Maybe they expected more jumps until they needed to worry or a more obvious sign.

Before becoming a webcomic, Leaving The Cradle was initially developed as a modification for Source engine, back in 2007. It was vastly different back then, much closer to the usual space opera look and feel, and the plot had nothing in common with the webcomic version, sharing only one character.
